Questionnaire answer analysis.

This post will be analysing my results from my questionnaire and showing how they will affect the production of my film opening.

question 1: in a zombie movie who would you expect to die first?

In this question most people who responded said they would expect a dumb blonde to die above the rest. This will be reflected in my movie as a dumb blonde type character will be the first to die in the opening scene of the film.

question 2: who would you like to blame for the zombie apocalypse?

most people who responded to this question said they would like to blame the government for a zombie outbreak, this will slightly reflected by movie as it was government scientist developing the Nano-bots for the military so some of the blame can be laid on them however it was the soldiers who accidentally released the bots from the lab so blam can be on them too. However seen as it was the government who actually developed the bots so they are more to blame therefore my audience will be pleased at the fact that i have included their chosen scapegoat.

question 3: would you prefer a big budget hollywood production or a low-budget indie film?

the majority of people who responded said they would prefer a low-budget indie film to one of hollywoodesque proportions which will be reflected by the fact that my movie is a low-budget production, this partly because it is literally a low-budget production but also because i enjoy watching cleverly written indie films than big budget productions with lots of special effects and explosions but enough story to fill about 5 minutes of screen time.

question 4: would you prefer a happy conclusive ending or a depressing one that leaves a lot or some questions unanswered?

the respondents to this question said that they would prefer an ending with a little more mystery than one that leaves everything resolved and concluded, i don’t know about the ending to my film as i haven’t thought that far ahead but the ending to my opening will leave some mystery open to entice my audience into watching the rest of the movie.

question 5: what would be a good title for the movie?

most of the people who responded to this question said they would like the title “OH GOD THE DEAD ARE COMING BACK TO LIFE AND SHIT!” but i decided i would go with the more catchy ‘Nano’ because it reveals a little bit about the film but not enough that my audience will not want to watch it because they know everything about it. It is also short and snappy which will make my audience remember it better therefore it will be on their mind for a while much like Rec. the spanish zombie movie filmed entirely in POV

in conclusion my movie will contain from what this questionnaire tells me most of the things my audience will want to see in it, however after all this is my own production and if i bang something in that they don’t like oh well.
